- Larry was amazing touring our crew on The Road To Hana. I originally planned to drive it, but we received a recommendation to use Mahalo instead due to the challenges posed by the drive ("The Road To Divorce"). I am so glad we listened, and we were lucky to have Larry as our driver. He has an immense knowledge of Maui's history, drove safely, made numerous memorable stops, and kept us well fed and entertained. He was born and raised not too far from Hana, so he was very knowledgeable on the area and history. It was nice to have someone else do the driving (especially given the road) and we stopped at a number of picturesque sights. It’s also sort of a culinary experience as Colby provided us with several locally grown/made items, including muffins, banana bread, strawberries, pineapple - and lunch at the beach was delicious! Uncle Louie is the reason we had such an amazing and unforgettable day in Maui. It is clear as day how passionate he is about this island and why he chooses this job every day. We felt right at home. - My partner and I had a great day trip on this Road to Hana tour. Our tour guide Larry picked us up at our hotel and then we embarked on an 11-hour journey together. He is so knowledgeable - it's crazy how he knows so much about the history, flora, fauna, customs, etc. The van was large and comfortable and there were only 5 other people on the tour so it felt special. We were so glad that we booked this tour since the roads are insane and driving ourselves would've been scary and not as fun. With Larry driving we were both able to appreciate the tour and learn so much. He made all the main stops on the road that every other tour offers too. The lunch was actually incredible - one of the best meals we had on the island. Larry also gave us loads of snacks throughout the day. Definitely recommend this tour. Had to do it again and with Kobe. Can't recommend him and this experience any higher! There is so much value in this tour. You don't drive yourself, lunch is incredible. Ed, our guide, is a fantastic person with a great sense of humor, an immense knowledge of the country and its people and made this long day tour very entertaining. The nature and the different panoramas of Maui are breathtaking. During the tour there were always fruits, snacks, water and juices.
